Reno Army Captain told to stop blogging!!!

Another exciting news article that I wanted to share with everyone today. Front page of today's paper (Reno Gazette-Journal www.rgj.com). His name is Captain Matt Gallagher of the US Army. Matt started a blog back in November 2007 before he deployed to Iraq to keep a journal of his situation in Iraq. The reason he was told to stop blogging was because he did not get his commander's approval before he posted on his blog. This is what Captain Gallagher post for the last time about this incident:

"It's totally on me, as it was too much unfiltered truth, I'm a solider first, and orders are orders. So it is."

Want your opinion on this magazine cover?

Woke up this morning and this is what everyone is talking about. Obama Campaign said this was "offensive and tasteless".
Then McCain's Campaign turned around and said the same thing. Very creative.
In my opinion the New Yorker was just making fun of all the rumors that have been talked about the Obama's. Was it wrong? Is this what the American people are thinking and the New Yorker just decided to put it on their cover?
I have only been alive for thirty some years and every President that I can remember has been made fun of. Do we need to get upset about this or take it with a grain of salt? Saturday Night Live has been making fun of presidents since they have been on the air. Is that wrong?
Obama does not wear an American flag on his lapel? I will not vote for a person that is not proud of his country and display the American Flag. Granted McCain is old but does age really matter? Nope, McCain is an American Hero and has my respect and vote come November!

Men on a Mission

Saw this on Foxnews.com and wanted to express my opinions on this matter. For you that have not heard, Chad Hardy from Las Vegas, NV (who is a Mormon) has put together a calendar of twelve Mormon Missionaries that are shirtless. Is this offensive? I don't think so. I stand behind Chad and his desire to do something like this. Does this reflect badly on the LDS church? No, it does not. I was a Mormon Missionary and he has done nothing wrong. Do Fire Departments get upset? No. Our founding fathers gave us a right which is called Free Speech. So, leave Chad alone and if you dont like what he is doing than go away.
